Dear Valued Scouts and Scouters:
The Scouts of Winnebago Council stand ready to assist in disaster
recovery efforts for our neighbors in Parkersburg and surrounding
areas affected by last Sundays Tornados. I have personally contacted
my respective Director counterparts at both the Hawkeye Chapter of
American Red Cross and Butler County Emergency Services.
We may (or may not) be called to action on any number of requests
from clean up efforts to soliciting food and clothing donations.
Presently authorities have restricted access to the affected areas.
Please use this web site as your official communications on what Boy
Scouts are being asked to do. Do not take upon yourselves, would be
noble efforts, which may put Scouts at harm or perhaps are not within
the community needs priorities. Let’s do what we are asked first
which at this point is wait for instructions. Thank you. Please
check this web site daily throughout the week for instructions.
A Scout is prepared. A Scout does a good turn daily. A Scout is
Kind.
