How do I apply to the Jamboree?

In the past, the Winnebago Council had a paper application process for you. Now, BSA wants you to go on-line and apply to the National Jamboree. All applications should now be submitted on-line.

You will need your son’s BSA membership number and if you are registered as a parent with BSA, then get your number as well. Our Council is Winnebago and our number is 173 and we are in the Central Region.

Go to www.bsajamboree.org and click on the Register Now area. As you read the information, it asks that you go to www.MyScouting.org. If you don’t already have an account set up, then you will need to set one up under the New to MyScouting area. Just follow instructions to get your son registered.

You will need a credit card, as they will charge you $10 to register. Please print out your confirmation. Keep a copy for yourself and send or bring a copy and a $100 non-refundable deposit to the Winnebago Council Office at 2929 Airport Blvd., Waterloo, IA 50703. If you have questions, contact the Council Office 319-234-2867.

Please be sure that you let Ann know that you’ve signed up. We can’t be sure that National BSA will provide us with the list of boys who’ve applied on-line.
