Jamboree and Touring Dates
We plan for the boys to leave on the chartered buses on Sunday, July
25 from the UNI Dome west parking lot. They will arrive at Ft. A.P.
Hill, Virginia on Monday, July 26, the official start date of the
National Scout Jamboree.
The Jamboree runs from Monday, July 26 to Wednesday, August 4. On
Wednesday, August 4, the boys will again board the chartered buses
and tour the Washington, DC area until Saturday, August 7. At night,
they will stay at a Catholic school.
The buses will depart Washington, DC on Saturday afternoon,
August 7 and will be back in Cedar Falls on Sunday afternoon August
8.
As soon as all the details are worked out with the bus company,
parents of scouts will receive a detailed itinerary.
